Ekene is a large tote built around where things go. A 31 × 23cm laptop in the main compartment, an iPhone 17 in a case in either front pocket, and internal pockets sized for glasses, earbuds and a folding umbrella. Magnetic closure, polyester lining, adjustable strap.

Will my phone fit in the front pocket?

An iPhone 17 in a case fits either front pocket with room to spare, so most phones will. The point of the front pockets is reaching your phone without opening the bag.

How adjustable is the strap?

Fully — it shortens for shoulder wear and lengthens for crossbody. 27cm minimum and maximum drop in 35cm. 

Is it heavy when empty?

No. Ekene is unstructured — it has no internal frame, so there's almost nothing to carry until you put something in it. That's the trade-off against a firm bag: lighter, but it takes the shape of whatever's inside.

Yes. A4 documents, folders and a 13-inch laptop all sit flat in the main compartment, which is what makes it work for students and anyone carrying paperwork.

Ekene or Oma?

Same price, opposite bags. Ekene is soft and unstructured — light, roomy, takes A4 and a laptop, and slumps when it's empty. Oma is firm and holds its shape, structured enough to stand on its own. If you carry a lot and want it light, Ekene. If you want the bag to look the same at 6pm as it did at 8am, Oma.

Is this real leather?

No. Vegan PU with a polyester lining.
